Deliverables and duties:
Project management implementation and compliance:
Provides technical assistance to lead efficient and effective project start-up and close down processes;
Prepares annual work plan and quarterly implementation plans supporting CIP scientists;
Devises means of achieving outputs while staying within budget constraints;
Serves as primary point of contact for project operations during and after the life of the project;
Provides support to the PI on the preparation and submission of annual budgets and staff time allocation tables to CIP Finance;
Tracks projects’ annual budgets and forecasts while working with CIP scientists to explain variance and make corrections if necessary, including changes in staff time allocation;
Manages project partners, partner risk assessments, monitoring contracts, financial implementation and technical implementation with Project Investigator (PI’s).
Monitoring and Reporting:
Provides technical assistance to monitor progress against project output and provide feedback and action steps to Project Leader to achieve project objectives;
Supports Project Leaders in completing and submitting technical and financial reports;
Coordinates the submission of all donor required reports with appropriate CIP areas;
Maintains comprehensive project documentation in all CIP systems.
Knowledge Management:
Organizes and maintains shared knowledge ports for supporting projects (KM Hub, websites);
Ensures consistent and proper use of CIP’s brand;
Liaises with donors and customers to exchange necessary project information and coordinate with Program Leaders to communicate relevant project information throughout the organization and external audiences.
