Background:
Roots, Tubers and Bananas (RTB) Cluster SW4.4 (Nutritious Sweetpotato for Improved Markets and Diets) flagship project activities in Ghana have been affected by the closure of the CIP country office in Ghana. To ensure the successful completion of project activities initiated this far, CIP needs to hire the services of a Ghana based NGO to coordinate the implementation of planned activities.
Services:
Assessing selected sweetpotato varieties for starch and antioxidant properties in relation to functional properties and postharvest perishability. Consumer sensory and sensory panel assessment of chunk fried sweetpotato.
RTB Cluster SW4.4 (Nutritious Sweetpotato for Improved Markets and Diets) flagship project in Ghana

§ Detailed write-up of consumer sensory survey 14 chunk fried genotypes.
§ Detailed write-up of sensory panel evaluation of French fried and chunk fried product from 11 genotypes in the form of draft manuscript.
o Final report will include the following:
§ Detailed report of functional attributes of starch from 14 released varieties and advanced studied.
§ Detailed report of antioxidant activities in leaves and roots of 6 good-, intermediate- and poor-storing genotypes in the form of draft manuscript.
